- Thanks to a Houston win over Utah and a San Antonio loss to New Orleans the Mavs will face the second seed Rockets in the West Quarterfinals with the series beginning Saturday.
- Despite missing his sixth straight game with knee soreness, Chandler Parsons went through a rather strenuous workout before the game and his optimistic of being available on Saturday.
- Devin Harris also missed the game with his toe injury but he also expects to play in Game One.
- Tyson Chandler recorded his 31st double-double of the season and set a season high in both free throws made (12) and attempted (15).
- The Mavericks finished with 27-14 home record, one game better than last year.
