To the surprise of no one the Mavericks did not make a trade before today's 2:00 deadline, and will keep their roster intact as they make their push to the playoffs. The sparse number of available impact players and the Mavs lack of a first round pick in the upcoming draft worked against Dallas in what was a quiet deadline throughout the league.
Said General Manager Donnie Nelson, “For us, the nucleus is there to have a nice push for the second half.
When you do make changes, even if it’s at the end of the roster, it
takes a certain period of time to bring guys in."
