Notes
The Mavericks look for their first road win of the year after having lost in both Houston and Oklahoma City. Minnesota star Kevin Love missed all four of last year's meetings against Mavs in an injury plagued season that saw him appear in only 18 games. Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea played five seasons for the Mavericks including playing a key part in the team's 2011 championship run. Corey Brewer also was a member of the 2011 champion Mavericks. Dallas guard Wayne Ellington was a first round of Minnesota in 2009 and played the first three years of his career there.
