Notes
Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis are the third highest scoring pair of teammates (43.9 PPG) in the league this season behind OKC's Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook and Minnesota's Kevin Love and Kevin Martin. The Jazz are off to horrific 1-12 start that finds Utah ranking last in the league in offensive efficiency and next to last in defensive efficiency. They did get good news when their first round pick, Trey Burke, last season's college player of the year at Michigan, made his NBA debut Wednesday night in New Orleans, scoring 11 points in 12 minutes. The Mavericks look to start the season by going 7-0 at home for only the third time in franchise history.
