The Mavs were able to win despite shooting only 36.6% from the field, by holding the Lakers to 33% shooting including a combined 0-13 from Metta World Peace and Nick Young.
Of Note
- The win gives the Mavs back-to-back wins for the first time all season.
- Chandler Parsons played in parts of two halves for the first all season as he scored a season high 9 points in 18 minutes.
- In perhaps his last game at the AAC, Kobe got off to a hot start, hitting his first three shots before tailing off and finishing up 7-15 for 19 points.
- The Mavericks have now won 9 straight against the Lakers.
- The Mavs got off to a slow start, falling behind 19-9 to start the game. They were able to stem the tide however with a 9-0 run and would go ahead for good with 2:49 left in the first quarter.
