The Mavs held the Suns to only 9 points in the fourth quarter as Phoenix went nearly 10 minutes without a field goal. Markieff Morris amazingly was the only Sun to score in the quarter.
Of Note
- Dirk sat out to rest on what was the first night of a back-to-back. He will play in Atlanta on Monday night.
- Devin Harris missed his 4th straight game with his toe injury. He is doubtful for tomorrow night as well.
- D-Will's 27 points was his second highest point total of the season behind the 30 he scored in Portland on Dec. 1.
- Dwight Powell scored 6 straight points in just over a minute to turn a one point deficit into a 5 point lead with 4:53 to go in the game.
- At one point in the 3rd quarter the Mavs missed 10 straight three point attempts.
- The Mavericks swept the season series against the Suns 3-0. This is the second Pacific Division team the Mavs swept the season series with as they also swept the Lakers 3-0.
- Dallas held a second straight opponent under 80 points as they gave up 78 to the Nets on Friday.
- The Mavs finished their most challenging month of the season both in games played and opponents strengh with a 9-9 record.
