• The loss snapped a season high four game losing streak for the Mavs.
• It was also the 600th career coaching win for Rick Carlisle.
• Chandler Parsons missed the game with an illness.
• Villanueva's 20 points were his most since February 8, 2013.
• Hassan Whiteside had 14 rebounds for Miami in the first quarter, the most for any player this season in a quarter. He finished the game with 24 rebounds.
• This was the Mavs first win over the Heat since Game 6 of the 2011 Finals. They had lost 7 straight to Miami since.
• The win was the Mavericks 16th straight against the East on the road, 12 of which have come this season.
