Stat of the Game
The Mavericks shot a miserable 5-31 on threes, including going 0-14 in the second half.

Of Note
  • The Mavs played the game without four key players. Rajon Rondo was suspended for conduct detrimental to team after his shouting match with Rick Carlisle in Tuesday's game. Tyson Chandler was out with a left hip injury. Chandler Parsons sat out his third straight with a sprained ankle and Amare Stoudemire sat out the second half of the back-to-back to rest.
  • After Dallas scored 34 points in the first quarter they were held below 20 in the three remaining quarters scoring 19, 15 and 19.
  • The loss was the Mavericks first all season on the road to a East team after 13 wins. They had not lost at an East team since Feb. 11, 2014 in Charlotte.
  • Dirk was held to 4 points on 2-7 shooting as he failed to reach double-digit scoring for the second time in three games after scoring at least 10 in every previous game.
  • In a statistical rarity the Mavs recorded 0 steals for the game.
  • The game was almost postponed because of a snowstorm that was due to hit Atlanta on Wednesday night. The decision to play wasn't made until after 2:00 Central time.
