Mavs Sign David Lee

The Mavericks made it official today, agreeing to a contract with veteran big man David Lee for the remainder of the season. Lee was recently waived by the Celtics after being traded there last Summer from Golden State where he played for the Warriors championship team last season.
In 11 NBA seasons with the Knicks, Warriors and Celtics, the 32-year-old has career averages of 14.4 points and 9.2 rebounds. He was named an All-Star in 2010 and 2013 and was a 3rd team All-NBA selection in 2012-13. In 30 games for the Celtics this season Lee averaged 7.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game. He scored a season high 14 points in 15 minutes against the Mavs on Nov. 18.
To make room on the roster the Mavericks waived guard John Jenkins.
