The Mavs made it official today:Dirk Nowitzki will be a Maverick for the next three years. The surprise detail is that he will be paid 25 million dollars instead of the 30 million that was initially reported. Yet another reason why Dirk is a God among men, and he should never leave us.

The Mavs signed veteran forward Rashard Lewis to a one year minimum contract. Lewis. who spent the last 2 years in Miami, will provide shooting off the bench as a backup to Dirk.

The Mavs will be the 10 seed in the Las Vegas Summer League Tournament and will the face the 23 seed Charlotte Hornets, Wednesday at 3:30 Central.
