Mavs to Sign Aminu

After voiding the contract of Rashard Lewis earlier today, the Mavericks have moved quickly to replace him. According to Chris haynes of CSNW.com Dallas agreed to a deal with free agent forward Al-Farouq Aminu. The contract is for 2 years at 2.1 million with a player option for year two.
Aminu has played the last 3 seasons with New Orleans after being the #8 overall pick in the 2010 draft by the Clippers. He is known for his defense and rebounding and has career averages of 6.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. He has also had some of the best games of his career against the Mavs including two 20 rebound games.
