With the Mavs in possession down one with time running down they move the ball around the perimeter from Dirk to Harris to Parsons, but Parsons' attempt at a game-winning three comes up short.
Stat of the Game
This might come as a shock, but the Spurs are really good at shooting threes. They went 14-28 tonight, with Tony Parker going 4-4 including the eventual game-winning shot with just over a minute to go.
Of Note
- The loss was the 10th straight in the regular season to the Spurs for the Mavs.
- Dirk had a great shooting game going 7-11 from the field.
- The Spurs were without Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and Tiago Splitter, it never seems to matter with them who they are without.
- The Mavs played 11 players, with only Gal Mekel and Charlie Villanueva not seeing action.
- The Spurs are now an amazing 17-1 in season openers with the Popovich and Duncan combination.
