Rookie of the Year

1. Tyreke Evans- Joins elite company of MJ, LBJ and Big O in rookies averaging 20,5 and 5.
2. Stephen Curry- Lethal outside shooter who can rack up big assists numbers as well.
3. Brandon Jennings- Shooting numbers are awful but contributed heavily to Milwaukee's surprising success.
Defensive Player of the Year

1. Dwight Howard- League leader in rebounds and blocks again.
2. Josh Smith- Elite shot blocker who stepped up his game on both ends.
3. Shawn Marion - Holds in check nearly all the league top perimeter players.
Coach of the Year

1. Scott Skiles- Led what was thought to be one of the NBA's worst teams to the playoffs without its best player for the most of the year.
2. Scott Brooks- More than doubled his team's victory total of last year.
3. Nate McMillen- Kept Portland among the West's best despite numerous significant injuries.
Sixth Man of the Year

1. Jamal Crawford- Made playoffs for first time in career by being clutch scorer the team needed.
2. Jason Terry- Shooting numbers are down but still a dangerous and clutch shooter.
3. Anderson Varajeo- Brings plenty of energy and defense when he enters games.
Most Improved Player

1. Kevin Durant- Took the very difficult step from star to superstar.
2. Andrew Bogut- Went from draft disappointment to one of the league's top centers.
3. Aaron Brooks- Picked up scoring in the absence of Yao Ming.
