Of Note
The season kicks off for the Mavs where last season ended, after they took the eventual champion Spurs to a game seven in the first round of the playoffs. The roster looks very different for Dallas however with eight new players, most notably Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons. The Spurs return essentially the same team, adding only rookie Kyle Anderson. The Mavs will be almost fully healthy with only Raymond Felton out of the lineup with a high ankle sprain. The Spurs however, will probably be without Kawhi Leonard (eye infection) and Tiago Splitter (strained right soleus). The Mavs have lost 9 straight regular season games to the Spurs. The Spurs of course will be receiving their championship rings and raising their 5th championship banner, it will up to the Mavs to spoil the rest of the evening for the home team and their fans.
Update: Leonard and Splitter have been ruled out by the Spurs.
