Play of the Game
With the Mavs in possession down one with time running down they move the ball around the perimeter from Dirk to Harris to Parsons, but Parsons' attempt at a game-winning three comes up short.

Stat of the Game
This might come as a shock, but the Spurs are really good at shooting threes. They went 14-28 tonight, with Tony Parker going 4-4 including the eventual game-winning shot with just over a minute to go.

Of Note
  • The loss was the 10th straight in the regular season to the Spurs for the Mavs.
  • Dirk had a great shooting game going 7-11 from the field.
  • The Spurs were without Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and Tiago Splitter, it never seems to matter with them who they are without.
  • The Mavs played 11 players, with only Gal Mekel and Charlie Villanueva not seeing action.
  • The Spurs are now an amazing 17-1 in season openers with the Popovich and Duncan combination.
