With the Mavericks trailing by three with less than 30 seconds left, Devin Harris rebounded a Monta Ellis missed three and then passed it to Ellis who found Dirk for a tying three with 20.9 seconds left.

The Mavs trailed Portland 94-83 with 1:55 to go. From then on Dallas outscored the Blazers 13-2 for the rest of regulation and 15-5 in overtime.
