With Tyson Chandler likely sidelined for Wednesday's game with an ankle injury, the Mavericks are are in the process of bringing back their former big man Bernard James on a 10 day contract according to Marc Stein.James has played this season in China after spending the last two season with the Mavericks. He was released by the Mavs in October. Dallas is still intent on signing Jermaine O' Neal but that probably will have to have to wait until after the All-Star break.
In other injury news, Tim McMahon is reporting Monta Ellis is undergoing an MRI this morning to determine the severity of his left hip injury.
UPDATE: Tyson Chandler has been ruled out for tomorrow's game vs. the Jazz but he is expected to return after the All-Star break. Monta Ellis is listed as doubtful while the team awaits the results of his MRI.
