The Lead
Despite ice cold outside shooting, Mavs manage to win ugly in overtime against the Melo-less Knicks as Tyson Chandler beasts against his old team.

Monta Ellis steals the ball from Samuel Dalembert and feeds Tyson Chandler for a two-handed jam that put Dallas up for good 101-99, with 1:37 to go in OT.

Chandler's 25 rebounds were the most in a game by a Mav since Erick Dampier had 26 in 2005. It is also a season-high in the NBA.
  
Of Note
  • Jameer Nelson (back spasms) and Raymond Felton (ankle) sat out for the Mavs, while Carmelo Anthony missed the game as expected with back spasms.
  • The Mavs went only 4-31 on threes, while the Knicks went 13-26 led by former Mav Jose Calderon who was 7-9 from deep.
  • Monta Ellis who only had 8 points total, scored 6 in a row in a key stretch in the fourth quarter that gave the Mavs the lead.
  • Brandan Wright who was 3-7 from the field, had his team record streak of 18 games in a row of shooting 50% or better broken.
