Jefferson Back, Maybe Barea Too
While it pales in comparison to the DeAndre Jordan signing, the Mavericks have agreed to a one year deal for the minimum with Richard Jefferson according to multiple reports. Jefferson averaged 5.8 points and shot 42.6% on threes in 74 games with the Mavs last year. He played especially well in the 18 games he started when Chandler Parsons was injured.
Also according to TNT's David Aldridge, the Mavs are working out details on a possible three year contract with J.J. Barea to bring back the diminutive point guard. Barea averaged 7.5 points and 3.4 assists in his second stint with the Mavs last year. His numbers jumped up to 11.8 points and 7.4 assists in the playoffs.
