Mavs Ink Rookie Maurice Ndour

The Mavericks continued to add to their roster on Thursday by signing rookie free agent forward Maurice Ndour to a three year deal. Ndour is a native of Senegal who played for the University of Ohio the last two seasons. He played well for the Knicks summer league team, averaging 9.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks including a 23 point outing. Last year for Ohio, Ndour averaged 16.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and shot 43.5% on threes. The Mavs were able to outbid the Knicks for his services by offering more guaranteed money than the Knicks according to ESPN's Ian Begley. The first season of the contract is fully guaranteed while the second year is half-guaranteed.
